Beginning his aviation career as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Steven has over 15 years of commercial aviation experience in the fields of aircraft and engine maintenance, airline operations, aircraft evaluation and aircraft leasing and purchasing in the charter sector.
Steven is the holder of a Master’s degree in Aviation Management and has lectured extensively in human factors, aviation legislation and aircraft maintenance at degree and certificate IV levels. Steven Wright has applied his comprehensive knowledge of the aviation industry, aviation legislation and human factors to provide guidance to project teams and individuals with regard to integration of new regulations into existing operations, development of training programs, adherence to CASA and government training standards and efficient use of training resources.
Steven’s specialty is the diagnosis of complex regulatory and operational problems and identification of innovative solutions which bring value as well as compliance to clients.

Shamindher Nair is a recent addition to the Progressive Aviation Solutions Management Team. He brings with him vast and invaluable experience gained working in the Singapore Airlines Group of Companies. Shamindher is a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME), holds Lead Auditor qualifications and is a certified PRINCE2 Practitioner (Project Management).
Shamindher began his career in aviation in 1987 as an Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with Singapore Airlines. In 1992, he graduated in the top 10% of his cohort and took a position as a Senior Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in SIA Engineering Company’s Line Maintenance Division. In late 1997, Shamindher was promoted to Technical Instructor in the Engineering Training Division of SIA Engineering Company. Here, he stayed till he ended his career with SIA Engineering Company in 2012, holding various portfolios within the division and rising through the ranks to the equivalent of Head of Apprenticeships. In those 15 or so years, Shamindher would demonstrate his key strengths and management skills in mentoring, process management, developing and leading teams, quality audits, project management and technical writing amongst others.
Shamindher has been fortunate to be part of the SIA Group as it grew from a young and ambitious company to one of the major maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) companies in the world. He has a keen understanding of what was done well and, more importantly, what could have been done better as his career took flight in tandem with SIA Engineering Company. He has a firm understanding of what is required to succeed in the hostile environment that is aviation and uniquely qualified to guide Progressive Aviation Solutions’ clients down a road to success.
